Miserable

Lizzy, after Morgan had a monster meltdown at the supper table: "Wow. It must be miserable being a mom and putting up with that. You're going to have to give me some pointers before I become a mom."

A Special Day

Lizzy: "I really want to wear that bridesmaid dress to church."
Me: "No. It's too fancy. We'll save it for something fancy."
Lizzy: "Well, isn't Jesus special?"

Me: "Lizzy, we have basketball practice on Friday."
Lizzy: "Why?"
Me: "Because we have to talk about defense and get our jerseys before our game on Saturday."
