Checking Up

Awhile back Lizzy went to Lexi's parent teacher conferences with me. She met all of Lexi's teachers, and apparently left a lasting impression on at least one of them. 

Lexi's creative sewing teacher also teaches a child development class, and one of her students from that class has been helping in Lizzy's classroom for the past several weeks. This week, the teacher went to Lizzy's classroom to check on her student. Lizzy was staring at Lexi's teacher, I assume trying to remember her name. 

Teacher: "Hi Lizzy. Yes, I know who you are."

Lizzy: "I know who you are too. So, is Lexi doing ok in school?"

Recycling

Me: "Lizzy, what's in your hair?"
Lizzy: "Oh this? That's a ribbon from my hula hoop."
Me: "Nice. You have garbage holding your hair out of your eyes."
Lizzy: "Actually, I like to think I'm recycling."

April Showers

Sometimes I cringe when people tell me Lizzy said something funny. I cringed when I read the first line of this post on my Facebook page:

Lizzy is so funny. She says some witty stuff. When we were driving home, the girls saw someone had their sprinklers on, and Lucy said, "Why do they have those on already in May?" And Lizzy said, "it's not April anymore so we won't have April showers."

Hahaha…I'm no longer cringing. You gotta admit, she's got a point!
