Last night we went to Waffle Cone Wednesday. As we were standing in line, I decided to read the flavors to Lizzy, so she would have time to make a decision:
Me: "Lizzy, they have chocolate, white chocolate.... hey, are you listening to me?"
Lizzy, with a spaced out look on her face: "Nope, I'm not."
At least she's honest!

Pillow Pet
Lizzy has never been really "attached" to anything... she never really had a favorite blanket or stuffed animal. But recently, she's grown strangely attached to her pink and purple unicorn pillow pet, as expressed in a recent conversation we had:
Lizzy: "My love my pillow pet."
Me: "Why?"
Lizzy: "My just love to chew on the unicorn horn."
Me: "That's kind of gross. Why do you do that?"
LIzzy: "What?!?! It's tasty! It kind of tastes like deer meat."
All I can say is GROSS!!!

Hunting Fever
Pheasant season doesn't open until October, but every year, starting in about August, Brad gets "hunting fever", or the "itch" as he calls it. Apparently he has passed the "itch" onto Lizzy.
As we were driving to church last night, Lizzy suddenly noticed the whole family was in the van and she exclaimed: "Hey! Where are we going? My thought we were going to go hunting.. just me, Dad and Dwayney Walker!"

Cake = Pie
Lizzy is going to be in speech therapy forever.
I realized this as I watched her play with playdough the other day:
Lizzy: "Hey Mom, look at my take!"
Me: "Your what?"
Lizzy: "My take!"
Me: "Oh, you're cake. Say c-c-c-ake."
Lizzy: "Hey Mom, look at my pie!"

"F-I-T"
Lizzy: "Come on Mary. Let's go!"
Mary: "Where are we going?"
Lizzy, with an exhausted sigh: "You know....we're going to 'F-I-T'. Now come on before Morgan notices."
Mary: "What is 'F-I-T'?"
Lizzy, with another exhausted sigh: "You know... 'F-I-T'... the amusement park!"
I think we need to work on her spelling! But, Morgan never did catch on and they were able to go without her tagging along!

Favorite
Lizzy: "Mom, which kid is your favorite?"
Me: "Lexi/Jake/Lizzy/Morgan."
Lizzy: "NO! Which ONE person in this family is your favorite?"
Me: "I have to pick Dad then."
Lizzy: "Ok, fine. Then the rest of us are going to Tennessee."

Unconditional Love
Me, after accidently dripping water in Lizzy's eye: "Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you ok?"
Lizzy, smiling: "Of course. My fine."
Me: "Whew. I thought maybe you would be mad at me!"
Lizzy: "Mom, how could a four year old be mad at her mom???"
