Butt Water

Lizzy, to Morgan while I washed their hair in the bathtub: "I don't even know why we do this, Morgan. Our hair isn't going to get clean. You know we're just using butt water to wash our hair."

I'm still not sure how to respond to that. The girl has a point.

Cute

Lizzy, while putting her hair behind her ears: "Do I look cute like this?"
Me: "Lizzy, I always think you look cute."
Lizzy: "Well, my just feeled really cute like this."

Thinking Pose

Lizzy: "Mom, this is how I sit when I think."
Me: "Wow, looks kind of painful."
Lizzy: "Yeah. That's why my don't think very much."

The Waves

This morning as we were dropping Lexi off at school, Lizzy realized Lexi's friend Emily was behind us.

Lizzy turned around in her seat and started waving like a crazy woman at Emily.

As Lexi jumped out of the van, Lizzy yelled after her: "Make sure you tell Emily the waves meant 'I love you'!"

"You Blend In"

Lizzy, after tripping over Bob three times: "Oh, Bob! I am so sorry! That is the third time! You just blend in!"

Just after her apology, she tripped over him a fourth time.

Lizzy, while snuggling at bedtime, leans over, hugs me and whispers: "If I had to pick one favorite mom, it would be you!"
Me: "Oh that's so sweet. If I had to pick one favorite Lizzy, it would be you."
Lizzy: "Thanks.. wait a minute. I am the only Lizzy!"

"Hit it!"

Lizzy, as we snuggled in to watch a movie: "I'm ready. Now hit it!"
