"Like a Mermaid"

I know you're not supposed to leave kids unattended in the bathtub, but sometimes a mother of four has no choice.  That was the case tonight. Lexi started the tub for Lizzy while I took the garbage out. When I went in the bathroom to check on Lizzy, I discovered the floor was covered in water and Lizzy was sitting on the edge of the tub instead of in the water.

Me: "Lizzy! What are you doing? Keep the water in the tub."
Lizzy: "Mom, my just trying to be a mermaid."

At that point, she slid down from the edge of the tub, into the bath water, just like a mermaid.
