Treehouse
Lizzy convinced Morgan they could have a treehouse in the neighbor's tree. She even made a sign, just in case anyone was wondering who the fancy treehouse belongs to:
"My Lucky Day"
Lizzy, after finding $4 while riding bike back and forth on our street for about an hour: "Mom! I found all this money! It must be my lucky day!"

An impresion
Me, talking about our sweet neighbors that she is always bugging: "Lizzy, they do get a kick out of you. I think you keep them on their toes."
Lizzy: "Well of course. Everyone does have toes."
Me, laughing
Lizzy: "Oh, I get it. That's just an "impression" isn't it?"
"I hate to say this..."
Lizzy, visiting with the neighbor while he worked in his yard: "Um, Randy, I hate to say this, but you wore that shirt yesterday."
Attention
The broken finger was pretty traumatic - I am not looking forward to the next doctor's visit. Meantime, Lizzy has decided it's not so bad (no that it doesn't hurt as much):
Lizzy: "I guess having a broken finger isn't sooo bad. I am getting lots of attention."
A Littler Version
Lizzy broke her finger playing basketball in the driveway this weekend. This was our conversation after our visit to the doctor:
Me: "You're turning out just like Lexi."
Lizzy: "Why?"
Me: "Lexi broke her finger playing basketball. So did Tess."
Lizzy: "Hmm.. I guess I'm just a littler version of Tess and Lexi."

A New School
Lizzy is changing schools next year because of the new boundaries and no more transfers rule.
I've been struggling with it - we've been at Moses for the past nine years.
But after a quick tour of the new school tonight, I realized I have nothing to worry about
Lizzy is going to be just fine.
Lizzy, on the drive home: "Mom, I wish I could go to that school tomorrow. They have more tire swings than we have at Moses, the principal is cool, and I love all the teachers I met. Except I didn't meet the gym teacher. Maybe I don't have gym. Oh well. I don't even care that Solheim Cougars eat their boogers - I'm a Solheim Cougar!"
Look out Solheim.
Here comes Lizzy.
Consider yourself warned.

Encouraged
Me: "Lizzy, you should show Mary how awesome you can ride your bike without training wheels. I bet she would love to see that."
Lizzy: "Well yes, she would. Afterall, she was the one who encouraged me to try."

Notes
I love kindergarten.
Lizzy has learned so much.
And I keep getting the sweetest notes, like this one:
She's learned not to interrupt me when I'm on the phone, or talking to someone... instead, Lizzy slips me a note!
