"Llama, Llama, Red Pajama"

Morgan LOVES the book "Llama, Llama, Red Pajama."
We read it every night, at least once, before bed.
Most days we also read it a couple of times during the day.
Apparently Lizzy is getting tired of this book.

Lizzy, while I read Morgan's favorite book: "My am just plugging my ears so my don't have to hear that book anymore. Tell me when it's done."

Dad's Favorite Color

Lizzy, while helping me pick paint for the living room: "Well, since Dad loves gray so much, let's just paint the wall gray, like his favorite shirt."

"Alexis-beth"

It's no secret that Lizzy gets called Elizabeth only when she's in trouble.
Apparently, she thinks it's the "beth" part that means she's in trouble.
Case in point:
Lexi was ignoring me, so Lizzy stepped in and hollered at her:  "Alexis-beth! Come here now!"

Texting

Lizzy, while playing with a calculator: "Just hold on. My have to text someone quick."

"Try Not to Fall"

Me, to a sobbing Lizzy: "What's wrong?"
Lizzy, wiping tears from her face and shoving her elbow in my face: "My fell down. Again."
Me, inspecting the two gashes in her elbow: "Lizzy, you've fallen twice in the past ten minutes. Maybe you should take a break from running around and just sit and watch the game for awhile. You won't fall down if you sit here with us."
Lizzy, suddenly done with the dramatic crying: "Nope. My am fine. My will just try not to fall.

To her credit, she did not fall again.
Or if she did, she didn't come crying to me about it.

Pink Hair

Lizzy, as we passed a lady with pink hair: "Wow. Her have PINK hair. Well, maybe her like pink."

Playing Puppy

Apparently, I have two dogs now.
When I asked Lizzy why she was crawling around the backyard with a box in her mouth, she replied "My am playing puppy."
